Over 200 lots, many in vintage quality, will be available at the 7th WestLicht Photography Auction.
The top-class selection will span from the primary representative of straight photography, Diane Arbus, Ansel Adams, to Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, Elliott Erwitt, Yousuf Karsh, Robert Mappelthorpe, Cindy Sherman to Frank Horvat. Four rare, strikingly beautiful vintage prints by Tina Modotti from her Mexican period (estimated price Another top lot will be Ansel Adams’ Storm over the Great Plains from Cimarron, New Mexico. The absolute highlight of the auction will be a collection of 4600 NASA images, documenting the entire U.S. space program from 1961 to 1974. It is presumably the largest of its kind, owned by a private collector. A group of 300 photographs and transparencies show the Apollo-11 moon mission, including the recently deceased Neil Armstrong. The collection also features 330 photographs of the Russian space program Roscosmos. As the collection has museum characteristics it will be auctioned in a single lot and also be published in a separate catalogue.
Please find the complete range of lots in our online catalogue, which will be available 4 weeks prior to the auction.
