Jan Grarup, Danish photographer and this years World Press Photo winner in
the category Sports Feature, talked to an audience of over 100 intrigued
listeners about his exciting work and his self-understanding as a
photographer.
Grarup, who has reported from conflict zones for over 20 years, gave insight into his photographic work.
Empathy and time are the key criteria for his photography. To show the
fate of women and children in crisis-hit countries and to remind people of these tragedies through his evocative photo documentation is particularly
important to him.
