CROSSOVER BETWEEN PHOTOJOURNALISM AND AUTHOR PHOTOGRAPHY
LECTURE BY RUDI MEISEL
22.01.2016
Exhibition:
Rudi Meisel travelled to East Germany when the curtain was still iron and the war was still a cold one. He was one of the few West German photographers to visit the GDR regularly over a period of eleven years, starting in the late 1970s, and took photographs there on behalf of Zeit Magazin.
A selection of the resulting works is currently on show in the exhibition Augen auf! 100 Years of Leica Photography at the Museum of Photography WestLicht.
