The audience at the exhibition opening embarked on a journey to the early days of photography and a trip to the Mediterranean. The rare album by Édouard Baldu's Chemins de fer de Paris à Lyon et à la Méditerranée from 1861-1863 follows the railway line from Lyon to the French south coast. Parallel to the large-scale albumen prints of the photographic pioneer, visitors were able to gain an insight into the book work of the internationally presented artist Katharina Gaenssler for the first time in Austria.
