Undocumented: Immigration and the Militarization of the United States-Mexico Border
John Moore, winner World Press Photo of the Year, is a senior staff photographer, special correspondent for Getty Images. In 2005 he was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Photography.
He has photographed in 65 countries on six continents and spent years working internationally, first in Nicaragua, then in India, South Africa, Mexico, Egypt and Pakistan. Since returning to the US in 2008, he has focused on immigration and border issues.
In March 2018, powerHouse Books published his book Undocumented: Immigration and the Militarization of the United States-Mexico Border. The work represents ten years of his photojournalistic work on the complexities of immigration and border security in the United States. Moore's declared aim was to give a more human face to a subject that is often dealt with in the form of statistics.
