Exhibition:
On 10th of February 2020, WestLicht ceremoniously opened the exhibition Lennart Nilsson. The Beginning. The exhibition title has a double meaning: on the one hand, it refers to Nilsson's probably most famous photo series The Drama of Life before Death, about the beginning of human life - but the meaning is also a chronological-biographical one, because rarely exhibited, early photo reportages by the Swedish photographer are also shown. Guest of honour for the evening was Anne Fjellström, director of Lennart Nilsson Photography AB, whose opening speech gave the audience personal insights into Nilsson's motivation as an artist and his working methods as a self-taught photographer. Among the visitors were Christoph Waltz, Christian Kern, Karola Kraus and many other guests of honour.
We thank you all for coming in such large numbers!
