WORLD PRESS PHOTO 2021 & MAFALDA RAKOŠ. A STORY TO TELL
09.09.2021
On 9 September 2021, WestLicht festively opened the exhibitions World Press Photo 21 and MAFALDA RAKOŠ. A STORY TO TELL. Special guest was Mads Nissen, winner of World Press Photo of the Year 21.
The exhibition was opened by Mayor Dr. Michael Ludwig. Former Federal President Dr. Heinz Fischer, Mads Nissen, World Press Photo winner and Sanne Schim van der Loeff, curator of the World Press Foundation, spoke about the exhibition.
Dr. Heinz Fischer and Mayor Ludwig emphasised the importance of the Museum WestLicht for the cultural landscape of the country and congratulated on the 20th World Press Exhibition, which has been seen by 450,000 visitors over the years. After the non-profit association WestLicht was founded in 2001, we are also celebrating our 20th birthday this year and we look forward to many more exhibitions.
It was a great evening!
We thank you all for coming out in such large numbers!
